Privacy
Your visit.
Your information.
You can browse Charity Clarity without an account. We do not collect donations or payment details.
Effective October 17, 2026.
Browsing the website
Search, filters, charity comparisons and random discovery run in your browser. We do not use advertising pixels, session replay, or application cookies. Search terms, filters and comparison selections appear in the address bar and may be included in browser history or a link you share.
Vercel hosts the website. Cloudflare provides DNS, processes contact-form requests and serves saved charity logos from R2 storage through assets.charityclarity.net. These providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, request times and browser details to deliver and secure their services.
Understanding how the site is used
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page visits, referral sources and page performance. It does not use cookies or local storage to track visitors. Cloudflare excludes URL query strings from its analytics, so search terms and comparison selections in the address bar are not included in those reports.
We also count clicks on links to official charity websites. These are daily totals by charity, stored in a private Cloudflare database for up to 180 days. The counters do not contain names, email addresses, contact messages, visitor identifiers, full URLs or browsing histories. A click does not confirm a donation.
Both measurements are disabled when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Short-lived abuse counters use protected, daily-changing IP hashes; raw IP addresses are not saved in the analytics database. Hosting providers still process technical requests to deliver and secure their services.
When you contact us
The contact form collects your topic and message, plus an email address only if you choose to provide one. We use this information to review your request, investigate corrections and respond where appropriate. Messages are not published.
Submissions are stored in a private Cloudflare database. Cloudflare sends a notification to our private mailbox, hosted by Google. Your message and optional reply address are included in that notification. We do not use contact messages for advertising or add senders to a mailing list.
Messages are removed from the active database after 90 days. Email correspondence may be retained while handling a request or maintaining a record of a correction. Provider backups and technical logs follow the respective provider’s retention practices.
To limit spam, the form uses short-lived request counters derived from a protected, daily-changing hash of an IP address. We do not store the raw IP address in the contact database. These counters are removed after they expire, within approximately two days.
Your choices
You can send a message without giving an email address. Include one only if you would like a reply. Please do not send payment information, tax records or sensitive personal information.
Use our contact form to ask about a previous message or request its deletion. Give enough information to identify it without sending additional sensitive details. We may need to verify that a request relates to your own information.
External websites
Charity and source links open external websites. We do not receive confirmation that you donated. The destination controls the information you provide there and applies its own privacy policy. Our links do not send this site’s referrer information.
Service providers and security
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. We use HTTPS and restrict access to contact records. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
